Wow, what a gorgeous wee graveyard on a terrace looking across river plains toward Mt. Oxford and Mt. Richardson.
I found gravestones with a few unusual surnames including McKIBBEN, WOLFF (with inscriptions written in German), FRIZZELL, BUNZ, and NANKIVELL.
There are many gravestones for the families of GARLAND, WOOD, COOPER and FRIZZELL.
Remember, names listed on Hunting Kiwis are only the MAIN name on the gravestone. Most gravestones have two or three people listed on them – some as many as six!
I hope to finish Waddington and Springfield (Kowhai Pass) this week, so check back often. And don’t forget, to receive notification of list updates, subscribe to this blog.
Best wishes all.
Whereabouts is this cemetery please?

It’s on Tippings Road which, if you are driving from Rangiora through Cust, is a right hand turn just as you leave the other side of Cust on the Oxford side.
