Earthquake damage at Greendale Cemetery

I returned to Greendale Cemetery last week having not visited since a month after the 7.1 earthquake centered close to the cemetery. I was unable to enter the cemetery at that time due to Council restrictions as much fallen masonry was strewn around.

Most stones have now been laid flat, or at the very least supported to prevent further movement, and warning tape still drapes a few. The most damage, as per other cemeteries, has been done to the taller obelisks and older headstones.

Listings for Greendale Cemetery will go online in the next week or so.

Happy Hunting!
