All gravestones at the Kowhai Pass cemetery, attached to St Peter’s Church in Springfield, have now been photographed and listed on Hunting Kiwis. Wow, what a gorgeous wee graveyard on a terrace looking across river plains toward Mt. Oxford and Mt. Richardson. I found gravestones with a few unusual surnames including McKIBBEN, WOLFF (with inscriptions written in German), FRIZZELL, BUNZ, and NANKIVELL.
