Courtenay Cemetery (St Matthew’s Church) complete!

Thanks to my folks for helping me out with this wee gem – and in very warm weather, too.

Located on the Canterbury Plains, near the small settlement of Courtenay, lies the church and graveyard of St Matthew’s Church.

The graveyard is dominated with the gravestones of the ANSON, DAVIS, FOWLER, ROPER and WATSON families.

The earliest gravestone is from January 1874 for William CUNNION.

The complete listing of gravestones is now available.

Best wishes.
