Having spent November in the UK visiting family and friends I’m now back in New Zealand ready to take on Christmas and record new cemeteries in Canterbury.
It’s been an ‘interesting’ year and a busy one, too. I hope the efforts of Hunting Kiwis have given you some helpful family history hints and piqued your interest in our rural New Zealand cemeteries.
Did you catch my article on memorial roses in Inside History magazine? If not, you can read through it via a post on their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/InsideHistoryMagazine
The magazine itself is a great read, featuring fascinating Australian and New Zealand genealogical and local history articles, and beautifully presented. Their main webpage can be found here.
Thanks also to those readers who have freely provided background information on various burials and for your kind comments and contributions. It’s also been a joy to hook up various family members who found each other via Hunting Kiwis.
I’d like to wish all my readers and genealogy friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy, research-filled New Year and thank you for all your support.
