Hunting Kiwis wants to help solve your genealogical puzzles

Sometimes you need a little help navigating the family tree, fleshing it out or breaking down brick walls. When it seems all avenues have been searched, all the nooks and crannies prodded, a fresh set of eyes and some new sources of information can really help.

That’s where I come in. Drop me a line and see if I can weedle out some new information or leads for you to follow. You’ll be under no obligation to take up my service, but I can quickly tell you if I am able to further your research.

If I can’t help you I won’t waste your time. If I think someone else is better placed to help you, I’ll put you in touch with them.

I am a British expat living in rural Canterbury on New Zealand’s South Island. As well as a fulltime writer I am a Member of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists, Families in British India Society and have been researching my own genealogy and that of others for almost 20 years. Research experience has been gained through UK, Scottish, New Zealand and British Indian records, both online and off, coupled with extensive online search skills and a wide network of contacts.

I look forward to any genealogical challenges you present me with so, what are you waiting for?

    • Very interesting! My first thoughts are the Chamberlains who started Hadstock Farm near the Selwyn. I’ll investigate further and, of course, other blog readers may have some information, too. Thanks for the info! Do you have any photographs of the shoes? If you email me a couple I can do a post about this query on the blog and also on the Facebook Page – that should get a lot of people interested 😉
