My name is Helen Leggatt and I run Hunting Kiwis in my spare time from my home in rural Canterbury, New Zealand.

I am currently researching my PhD in the history of modern cremation in New Zealand at the University of Canterbury.

I have always had a love of cemeteries and local history, and have spent over 20 years researching my own family’s history in the UK and India.

I previously ran a gravestone search and photography service in the UK called Ancestors Reunited, even attracting the attention of BBC Radio 4, who interviewed me live from a rural Scottish cemetery at 5am one cold wintry morning!
